The inspiration for the musical composition was the book by American anthropologist Clifford Geertz : "Deep Play: Notes on the Balinese Cockfight"
Cockfighting is an integral cultural component of Bali, even though they are illegal. It is in this way that Balinese people can earn good money and raise their social status.
A rooster fight may be a spectacular thing, but it is very cruel, animals fight to the death for the fun of people. That's why the musical composition is chaotic, a little creepy and harsh.

The composition, combined with photographs, is an audio-visual installation.
The photos show an elegant "fight" without blood, the birds seem to be dancing, but in reality the fight was not for them a dance in a blooming garden, its outcome is tragic.
